Fall Festival

Who: BMTA members and their students

When: Saturday, November 11th

Where: 11836 Tennyson Way, Westminster

Recital Format: Each student will perform one memorized work of any style. The student will first give memorized verbal comments about the piece, composer, musical style or period and/or the musical form. The length of the speech can be age appropriate (we recommend about 30 – 60 seconds.)

Any instrument is welcome, as well as vocal performances. 1-2 judges will provide written feedback for the student. (For questions or issues about the memorization requirement, please contact the festival chair.)

Recital times: We plan to have multiple programs this year, with approximately 6-8 students per program. Recitals will be between 9:00am – 12:00pm (teachers will be contacted by 10/31 with exact times.)

Registration fee: $15.00 per student. Each teacher should collect the fees from their students, and then write ONE check, payable to BMTA, or pay via Venmo at @nancy-brinkerhoff-1. All checks and entry forms via mail should be postmarked by October 22 (One check per teacher, please note Fall Festival on check.) The deadline has been extended to the 22nd. Forms & checks may be hand-delivered on our meeting day, Thursday Oct 13.
